Company Profile Jentro Technologies is a leading provider for mobile phone navigation in UK. It is the developer, manufacturer and operator of state-of-the-art satellite navigation on mobile phones in the European market place with a wide range of features. Jentro's "activepilot" product turns the mobile phone into a handy navigation device. “activepilot” is a true mass-market navigation system working on 100+ different mobile phones across all mobile operator networks and major phone operating systems. With a strong and successful background in Germany, Jentro is currently expanding into the UK and other key European markets such as France and Spain. Project Objective The project objective was to design and develop a website for the UK version of Falk activepilot. The client wanted the website to have a strong sales driven approach, consumer focus and that it should be adapted to the UK market. Jentro Technologies was looking for a website solution providing product related information including a standard shop solution that supports all general features to guarantee a seamless and easy to use shopping experience. They wanted a CMS driven website allowing non-technical users to make changes for organizing, managing and editing their products and website content. The direct goals included: Solution Provided GrayCell Technologies Exports developed an online shop integrated to sell the Falk activepilot products. This included shopping cart and CMS, along with an interface with major credit card vendors. The CMS used was Typo3, which is a user-friendly, intuitive tool, allowing the client to produce and maintain web pages, using sophisticated functions in just a few clicks of the mouse. GrayCell leveraged open source technologies to get the website up and running in a short span of time and provided an economical solution to Jentro Technologies. We are also maintaining the website for its continuous improvement and enhancement. This is done on a regular basis to ensure that the web site remains useful and functional. Result GrayCell helped Jentro Technologies achieve stronger & more aggressive sales approach of Falk activepilot. The website has created customer interface for all product related information. The CMS we have used has provided the client with a WYSIWYG facility by which they can edit the shopping cart as they want. This website solution has maximized sales & marketing efforts of Jentro Technologies. With products selling on a large scale through the activepilot website, Falk activepilot has become German mobile phone navigation market leader.
